NARIK Showcases Seamless Yarn Innovation at Intertextile Shanghai 2026 with The LYCRA Company

From August 25–27, 2026, Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Autumn Edition brought the global textile and apparel community together at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. NARIK, the international premium yarn brand of Zhejiang Jinzili New Material Technology Co., Ltd., participated as one of the co-creation partners in The LYCRA Company Lifestyle District. At booth 4.1-G61, NARIK presented new ways to connect high-performance fibers, yarns and fabrics with commercially relevant seamless garments.

From a Single Yarn to Seamless Apparel That Moves with the Body

NARIK designed its presentation around applications rather than isolated technical specifications. Yarns, knitted fabric samples and seamless garments were brought together to show how material choices can influence recovery, support, comfort and shape retention. Through hands-on touching and stretching, visitors could compare different elasticity directions and connect the feel of a material with its intended wearing experience.

This application-led approach reflects NARIK’s long-term commitment to going beyond yarn supply. The company works from the customer’s product category, wearing scenario and development goals to support yarn selection, performance optimization, sampling and seamless garment development.

Three Innovation Directions for Different Product Development Needs

At the show, NARIK highlighted three complementary innovation directions: modified PA6, the FORM FLEX series and the CLOUD FLEX series.

Modified PA6 was developed around three practical objectives: stronger dyeing performance, a refined hand feel and improved material economics. In NARIK’s internal comparisons under equivalent conditions, the material achieved an overall hand-feel similarity of more than 80% to PA66, while material costs could be reduced by 37%. This creates a new material option for seamless bras and underwear, tops, yoga leggings, shapewear and other next-to-skin applications. Actual performance and cost reductions may vary with yarn specifications, production processes and market prices; sampling and validation against the target product are recommended before commercial adoption.

FORM FLEX, NARIK’s power-stretch series, is defined by the idea “Power Stretch, Better Shape.” Designed for strong recovery, low deformation, fatigue resistance and reliable support, it is suited to products that must maintain stable support and shape through repeated or high-intensity movement. Potential applications include yoga, cycling, ski base layers and running apparel.

CLOUD FLEX, NARIK’s comfort-stretch series, follows the idea “Soft Flex, Free Move.” It balances light pressure with comfortable recovery, dynamic fit and stable hold. The series is intended for seamless products where easy movement and long-lasting next-to-skin comfort matter, including intimates and everyday close-fitting apparel.

Co-Creating Innovation and Supporting Commercial Scale-Up

Jinzili has worked in the yarn industry since 2001, building deep experience in yarns for seamless apparel. Supported by three production bases in Yiwu, Taiyuan and Baoshan, as well as integrated capabilities in yarn R&D, scalable production and intelligent manufacturing, NARIK is able to move material ideas toward solutions that can be sampled, validated and manufactured at scale.

Presenting alongside The LYCRA Company and other value-chain partners demonstrated more than a collection of individual products. It showed NARIK’s view of co-creation: meaningful innovation begins with fibers and yarns, develops through fabric construction and garment design, and ultimately becomes comfort, support and freedom of movement that consumers can feel.
